His Excellency Júlio Maiato, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Angola to the United Arab Emirates, received in audience, today, 18/09/2023, at the Chancellery in Abu Dhabi, Mr. Sultan Al Jaberi, President of the Executive Committee (PCE) of the E20 Group Investment. The Emirati businessman was accompanied by Mr Pramendra Garg, responsible for Investments at the UAE business group, which has interests in agri-business projects in Huambo Province. In this sense, Ambassador Júlio Maiato was informed about the Memorandum signed in July 2023 between E20 Investment and Dubai Investments, for the production of rice and avocado, in the Province of Huambo, in an area of 3,750 hectares, whose granting process lands is in the final stage. The meeting comes within the scope of Economic Diplomacy actions, particularly in attracting investments for the various Sectors of Activity in our Country. During the meeting, the Head of Mission in the UAE emphasized the importance of promoting partnerships and investments in the public and private sector for the Agricultural Sector, as this is a priority, as defined by the Angolan Executive. Along this path, Ambassador Júlio Maiato informed those present that, in addition to Huambo, for rice production, eastern Angola, namely the province of Moxico, has great potential and could be an excellent investment option. E20 Investment Group is a well-resourced and heavily supported agribusiness investment company, founded in 2019 and based in the United Arab Emirates, carrying out investment, development, establishment and management of agricultural production and processing. The company currently has medium-sized farms in several countries and is in the process of evaluating several potential investments related to agribusiness in Europe, Central Asia and Africa. At the end of the meeting, PCE Sultan Al Jaberi extended an invitation to the Head of the Angolan Mission in the UAE, to visit, during the next month (October/23), the Group’s agricultural project located in Al Ain/Abu Dhabi.
